A family
operation from the beginning. For
centuries our ancestors created their version of the grape
to produce a wine unlike any other. It was theirs alone!
Our fathers, Joseph T. Chiappone and Joseph J. Oliver, were
no different from many other European men who had their way
to grow and blend the grape. For many years we all enjoyed
the fruit of their labor. As one might expect, we all thought
no wine was or could be better than theirs. No one in the
family ever became interested in the legendary product in
quite the same way . . . until TJ came along. While his Dad
made wine it was TJ who, early on, needed to know all there
was to know about the family's wines. The seniors recognized
this and taught TJ all they knew including family secret
blending formulas, handed down through the generations. It
was this uncanny and insightful interest that continued the
learning process that took TJ to incredible heights and is
responsible for the nationally and internationally awarded
wines produced at today's winery. Of course TJ is Thomas
J. Chiappone, a chemist and enologist for 40 years.
Years
of research and development have resulted in Thomas' ability
to blend the old and the new to produce wines you will consider
the finest ever to touch your pallet . . . World Class Judges
do!
