The
Winery at Marjim Manor is a place where History & Charm
surround you. This W.O.W. (Woman Owned Winery) is owned
and operated by Margo Sue Bittner. The Marjim name comes
from a blending of her first name with that of her husband,
Jim. It is a name they created 25 years ago when they began
dairy farming.
This
historic Niagara County landmark gained a reputation 100
years ago as a haunted house and in the 20th century became
a summer retreat for the Sisters of St. Joseph. We opened
in August, 2004 as a winery featuring wines made from fruit
grown in local orchards.
The
Winery at Marjim Manor specializes in wines that are flowing
and soft on the palette. We offer both fruit wines and traditional
wines, with luscious new releases scheduled in the next few
months. Our two Tasting Rooms include beautiful lake stone
fireplaces and period items on display. The winery boutique
is filled with wine, fruit and local specialty gift items.
